Social Telecoms CIC is a registered social enterprise, specialising in providing telecommunications and social value solutions to the UK housing sector and their communities.
We have our origins in Housing Communications Ltd, who for over ten years provided industry leading rates and services exclusively to Registered Providers of Social Housing and Procurement for Housing members before being recognized for its large, loyal customer base and efficient staff by being acquired by SpiriTel Plc. in 2010.
Social Telecoms CIC has been set up by Housing Communications’ former owner and is run with several of their key Sales and Operations personnel.
Together, they run Social Telecoms CIC as a not for profit social enterprise with strong social values and objectives to help Registered Providers realise affordable telecoms for both their organisation and their tenants and in partnership, improve the personal and social well-

Who are Severnside Housing?
Severnside Housing is one of Shropshire’s largest social landlords, and currently owns and maintains more than 5,300 homes in Shrewsbury and the surrounding areas.
They are a not for profit company that exists to provide affordable housing and services to support the tenants who live in their homes.
As a Registered Social Landlord they are regulated by the Tenant Services Authority, who replaced the Housing Corporation on December 01 2008.
Severnside Housing was established in October 2001, following the transfer of housing stock from the former Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council. At the time of transfer, Severnside made a commitment to improve homes and services and guaranteed the protection of tenants’ rights and rent levels.
The UK’s first Digital Den is a joint venture between Severnside Housing and Social Telecoms CIC and will provide affordable Internet access, computers and training & support to Severnside’s local residents as a sustainable social enterprise that provides them employment opportunities.
